Opening of registrations for the International Conference “Human Rights and Democratic Culture in Practice: Applications and Challenges”
The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights and the Joint Master’s Programme “Identity, Education and Competences for Democratic Culture” of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and the European Wergeland Centre, announce the opening of registrations for the International Conference that will take place in Athens on 25–26 April 2026.
The Conference seeks to foster meaningful dialogue on the practical implementation of human rights values and democratic culture, bringing together researchers, academics, educators and professionals from Greece and abroad, with particular emphasis on issues of identity, participation, social justice and the rule of law.
We are pleased to announce that the keynote speakers of the conference will be Michail Pikramenos, President of the Council of State, and Villano Qiriazi, Head of Education at the Council of Europe.
