On 15 September 2026, an award ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), honouring students of the Law School for their distinguished participation in international moot court competitions during the academic year 2025–2026. The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) was represented by its President, Professor Linos-Alexandre Sicilianos.

For yet another year, the MFHR proudly supported the team of students from the Law School of NKUA participating in the European Regional Rounds of the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, held in Paris from 28 to 30 January 2026.

The team consisted of undergraduate students Nikolaos Angelakos, Elissavet Georgosopoulou, Eleftheria Moutzouridi and Zoe Bekiou. The team was coached by postgraduate student Effrosyni Koukoufilippou, with Professor Revekka-Emmanouela Papadopoulou and Associate Professor Georgios Kyriakopoulos serving as Academic Supervisors.

The Foundation extends its warmest congratulations to the students, their coach, and the Academic Supervisors for their commendable participation and performance in this international competition.

The MFHR also reaffirms its longstanding commitment to encouraging and actively supporting student participation in international competitions that promote respect for human rights and freedom of expression, highlight the fundamental principles of the rule of law, and contribute to strengthening democratic awareness and fostering a culture of democracy.
