Yesterday, September 17, 2025, at 16:00, an award ceremony was held for students of the Law School of the University of Athens, who stood out for their participation in international moot court competitions during the academic year 2024-2025. The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) was represented by its President, Professor Linos-Alexandros Sicilianos.

For yet another year, the MFHR actively supported two teams of law students who participated in international moot court competitions and distinguished themselves with success:

– The team that participated in the final round of the 13th Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition, held on May 19-23, 2025 at the premises of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, consisting of undergraduate students Nikolaos Kyrillidis, Andriana Handanou, Iasonas-Omiros Christidis, and Kyriaki Chronaki. The team distinguished itself in all stages of the competition, in which approximately 60 teams from all over Europe participated. The team’s preparation was carried out under the academic supervision of Professor Maria Gavouneli and the guidance of coaches Katia Rippi, postgraduate student, and Eirini Vyzirgiannaki, trainee lawyer.
