MFHR Awards Announcement 2025
“Aliki Yiotopoulos-Marangopoulos Awards in memory of her son, Nikos” Recognition of Students from the School of the Special Juvenile Detention Facility of Avlona – 2025

The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR) is pleased to announce that, for the eighteenth consecutive year, will confer nine Annual Awards—three for each educational level (Primary, Lower Secondary, and Upper Secondary)—to students enrolled at the School of the Special Detention Center for Juveniles of Avlona (ΕΣΚΝΑ). These students have distinguished themselves during the current academic year for their academic achievement, exemplary conduct, and consistent attendance.
The Awards were established in 2007 at the initiative of the late President of the MFHR, Emerita Professor Aliki Yiotopoulos-Marangopoulos, with the objective of fostering the educational engagement of juvenile and young detainees. Each Award consists of a monetary prize of €600 per educational level. The selection of recipients is carried out by the Teaching Faculty of the Special Detention Center for Juveniles of Avlona.
